U.S. President Donald Trump and Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni held a joint news conference at the White House on Thursday afternoon (local time) following the two leaders’ summit. During the conference, Trump talked about Chinese efforts to deal with North Korea. Trump said, “some very unusual moves have been made over the last two or three hours.” CNN reported Trump was referring to China’s sanctions against North Korea.

Before making such remarks, Trump said, “I can say that all of the pundits out there are saying they never have seen China work like they’re working right now. Many coal ships have sent back. Many other things have happened”. In regard to nuclear issues from North Korea, Trump told a conference that it’s “a menace right now.” He continued to go over Chinese President Xi Jinping’s efforts, saying, “I have absolute confidence that he will be trying very, very hard. So we’ll see what happens.”
